For kids in school and for adults looking for exam training and preparation for examinations like the Cambridge (CPE), Michigan (ECPE), Michigan State University (MSU), Learning Resource Network (LRN), National Open College Network (NOCN) and LanguageCert Test of English (LTE). Progress is made according to the student’s ability, so you set the pace. This means that fast-tracking is possible, as long as the student is capable enough. For students in state schools or private schools with strong English programs, I can provide support with their schoolwork and help strengthen their knowledge, understanding, and performance. In their final year of high school, many students require assistance and/or training for their matriculation exams (final year exams that determine which universities they can attend) in order to reach their desired scores or credits. IELTS / TOEFL
Undergraduates, post-graduates and professionals who require the TOEFL or Academic IELTS certificate can attend intensive courses that will elevate their skills and prepare them for the score they need. Adults often require a certification that measures their English abilities for employment purposes, international business or their working environment. If you’re feeling nervous about sitting an interview, I offer lessons that are designed to help you acquire the necessary language, tone and register for you to make a good impression. PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT / FLUENCY / PRONUNCIATION
Doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, teachers, business owners, marketers, and service members – these are just several types of professionals who I have assisted in enhancing their ability to communicate effectively and as fluently as possible in English, with their coworkers or foreign counterparts. These lessons mostly involve listening, speaking, role playing and practice for presentations and speeches. FALSE BEGINNERS
A false beginner is a language learner who has had exposure to a language (often through school,
the media, or heritage) but cannot use it confidently or consistently, so they feel like they must start over. These adults are able to recognize vocabulary, but struggle with speaking and using correct grammar. In this case, I offer a set program, during which we work on all aspects of the language, including writing, so they can become absorbed in English in every way. False beginners are usually adults who want to check ‘Learning English’ off their bucket list, so I try to make lessons as enjoyable as possible.
